In today’s world, people are more distanced from nature than ever. It's hard not to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the city or get caught inside at your desk all day. Houseplants give people a piece of nature that they can nurture and grow. In addition, growing plants can be a shareable experience with friends and family.

Our hope is that by bringing people closer to nature, they will be happier and more likely to see their impact on the earth and the relationship we all share with mother nature.

We have partnered with One Tree Planted and donate to the non-profit on a monthly basis. Your order will help with reforestation efforts around the world!

why?

Trees are vital to our planet. They filter the air we breathe, clean the water we drink, and provide a habitat for over 80% of the biodiversity on this planet. Forests provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people worldwide, provide medicines for our health, help regulate our climate, and provide social impact with the local communities we work with.

how does it work?

One Tree Planted will pool the donations and send the funds to reforestation partners. The partners are vetted to ensure that the trees maintain a survival rate of 80-90%.

Depending on the project and location, the partners choose the best tree species to plant and work with local communities to get them in the ground.

Cellar Door Plants is based in a small town outside of beautiful Seattle Washington and our greenhouse is located in San Marcos California where there is a mecca of growers from which we source our plants.
