Scientifically known as Pachira aquatica - and also called the Guiana chestnut - the Money Tree is native to Central and South America. It is extremely popular in Taiwan and East Asia for its popularity in Feng Shui practices, but it is recognizable across the globe. The Money Tree is believed to bring good luck and fortune to the owner, and are thus popular housewarming gifts. The Money Tree is a member of the Bonsai family.
