Ponytail Palm Tree

The Ponytail Palm is an easy to grow houseplant with a unique look. The bulb like trunk and lush curly leaves make for a beautiful center-piece. In addition to its looks, the Ponytail Palm is easy to care for and forgiving to first time plant parents. This Palm grows very slowly and can thrive in low to bright light conditions. It prefers bright light, but will do just fine in a house that gets minimal sun. This Palm is also perfect for anyone with pets because it is non-toxic.

    • The Ponytail Palm is a forgiving plant and is fairly easy to keep alive and grow! Ponytail Palms can tolerate most light conditions, but do best in bright light. It will tolerate indirect sunlight as well. It grows great in bright rooms, near a window, and can even tolerate being kept outside in the spring and summer, and kept in low light conditions inside during the fall and winter.
    • The Ponytail Palm prefers a moderate amount of water and can tolerate an occasional drought. Water thoroughly, but let the soil dry out completely between waterings. The most frequent cause of an unhealthy Ponytail Palm is overwatering. Make sure that the top 2 to 4 inches of the soil are dry before watering again.
    • Keep your ponytail palm in an environment where the temperature is between 65 and 80 degrees F.
    • Apply fertilizer two to three times a year to maintain a lush look
